a recognised player in non-destructive testing for 45 years
Founded in 1979, CND Service is a recognised player in the electrical, aeronautical, industrial and petrochemical sectors. With more than 70 employees, including qualified technicians, the company offers its customers a wide range of non-destructive tests: visual, ultrasound, radiography, X-rays and gamma rays, magnetic, dye penetrant, Time of Flight Diffraction Technique (TOFD), induced currents, thermography, geo-radar, hardness and metal analysis, among others. CND Service operates throughout Italy.
Through its subsidiary TecnoLab, CND Service also carries out destructive testing and is able to carry out post-heat treatment checks on large parts, thanks to a 26m-long oven.
CND Service is also recognised for its skills qualification and certification activities, which it carries out mainly for the energy industry, where needs are growing as a result of the technological transitions underway.

Our Non-Destructive Testing activities use a range of technologies to detect any defects while preserving their integrity and without causing any damage. Expanding Apave's
presence and offering in Italy
Since the end of 2020 and in line with its strategic plan, Apave has been developing its geographical footprint and expertise through an ambitious external growth policy, with the aim of meeting all its customers' needs, wherever they are.
The acquisition of CND Service will enable the Group to consolidate its presence in Italy, which began in 1994 and strengthened in mid-2021 with the acquisition of Tecno Piemonte. Apave is thus broadening its range of services, adding non-destructive testing to its existing inspection, training, certification and materials laboratory activities.
